Pediatric nursing is an important field to me because I believe in helping people such as children. In the health care industry there are more problems like diseases, flu, and anything else that you can think of. Pediatric nursing is an important job because these days there are more children that need more care, and the right medicine. The jobs for Pediatric nurse is to make sure they don’t get sick again or have it come back. With the hospitalization you will find that more and more problems, like Asama, or born mentally, or any other different kinds of problems. The Pediatric nurses try to prevent things like that from happening at birth. While the mother still has the child in her the nurse can give her anything that is subscribed to try and help the baby with out hurting it. Pediatric Nurses provide preventive and acute care to all children and adolescents. Pediatric nurse Practitioners perform physical exams, diagnose illness, and injury, and provide education and support to patient’s families. They often work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatricians and other health care providers. Studies show the first three years of a child's life is the most important developmental years because the brain is forming. To me Pediatric nursing is the most important job out there right now.
Epically since you have more children that come into the hospital sick, you have more lives to be saved put into your hands. The important thing though is when you subscribe the medication to them that to don't give them to low, or high of the dose because things could go wrong. That's important because these days they have different medicines that people easily over dose on an accident.

Senior Paper:

One thing bad that happened in my family is that my mom found out that she has cancer. It hurt our family really bad, but we helped her through it good or bad. From her having cancer it reflected on me big time because she's my mom, like what would I do with out her? When I was in middle school I didn't go that much because I always wanted to stay home so I could take care of my mom. So I missed a lot of school back then. I'm in high school now and my mom is still alive and she still has cancer. It does suck in life and everyday I see her, and it hurts me so bad to know that she is ill. I don't show her how I feel because I don't want to put her through anymore stress. The rest of my family and I act like nothing is wrong and treat her the same as we used to so she can try not to think about her cancer. My mom still has cancer because back then when she went to the doctor appointments and things like that the insurance didn't cover her, so now she owes a lot of money. Basically they can't help her. When I found out that they couldn't help her I went crazy. Like why can't people help people who are dieing and that need care? This is my best answer to exactly why I want to be a Nurse is because I'm going to make sure who ever needs the care like my mom that can't afford it, I will make sure they get the help they need. Just by thinking about sick people that need help and thinking about how sad there families will be when they loose there loved one makes me sad. Even when I think about it with my mom. My dream is to change the world when I become a Pediatric Nurse. As the saying goes “family is the most important thing in the world”, and it's true. I'm a junior now, and next year when I'm a senior I plan on finishing high School on the year 2011, then graduate. When I graduate High School I want to go to College, and get my Bachelors Degree. I'm not sure which one I want to go to yet but I'l know soon. When I go to college I want to study to become a Pediatric Nurse because I love to help people, and I love working with kids. It would make me really happy to know everyday I wake up and  I'm saving people's life's, and stopping the suffering in family's from being hurt from loosing a loved one. If I did become a nurse that would be my life right there because I would be making really good money, and I would have a job that I actually fill confident with doing, and I would actually like the work that I'm doing. At the High School that I'm going to we have this thing called In-tern week. For In-tern week I chose to go volunteer at the Glen- wood Spring Clinic. Ever since I have been volunteering there I have learned many things, and I'm prepared for this job.

Pediatric Nursing is an important field to me because I believe in helping people such as children. In the health care industry there are more problems like diseases, flu, and anything else that you can think of. Pediatric nursing is an important job because these days there are more children that need more care and the right medicine. The job for Pediatric nursing is to hospitalize you will find that more and more problems, like Asama, or born mentally, or any other kinds of different kinds of problems. The Pediatric nurses try to prevent things like that from happening at birth. While the mother still has the child in her, the nurses can give her any thing that is subscribed to try and help the baby with out hurting it. Pediatric nurses provide preventive and acute care to all children and adolescents. Pediatric nurse practitioners perform physical exams, diagnose illness, and injury, and provide education and support to patients, and families. They often work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatricians and other health care providers. Studies show the first three years of a child's life is the most important development years because the brain is forming. To me Pediatric nursing is the most important job out there right now. Especially since you have more children that come into the hospital sick, you have more life's to be saved put into your hands. The most important thing though is when you subscribe the medication to them that to don't give them to low, or high of a dose because things could go wrong. That's important because these days they have different medicines that people easily over dose on an accident. Treatment is more complicated because some times when your operating things go wrong with the body. For an example The body goes into shock, or many other bad things go wrong. So it is important to make sure nothing bad happens. To me it is important to have a job that helps children because these days children are the ones who need the most care. By having this job I would be saving many life's which is important. Especially when it comes to children the Pediatric nurses are the best ones for doing that, because they understand more about what there doing, when there working with children.

A pediatric Nurse practitioner is a registered nurse practitioner with advanced training in pediatrics and can provide nursing care to infants, children and adolescents. The Pediatric nurses perform physical exams, diagnose injuries and many common illnesses and have the training to provide the treatment procedures, therapies and medication necessary for the children. They order specific lab tests and diagnostic testing, such as x-rays, blood tests and lavatory tests when needed. Trained to give immunizations, they also manage their patients problems, such as juvenile diabetes and other conditions. They provide education, support and health care counseling to the families of their patients and answer any questions or address any concerns the family has regarding any child. Pediatric nurse practitioners get great satisfaction going that make a difference, by indemnifying and caring for there patients problems, giving them counseling and information to the family or patient. This helps the patient an family deal with often very stressful, and difficult situations. They use data received from diagnostic tests, clinical exams, verbal communication, medical records and other sources to make decisions that are evident based and meet their patients care requirements. A pediatric nurse must be a problem solver and a critical thinker with decision making skills and able to work well under pressure. They work in many health care settings such as health care institutions, community or private hospitals, private nursing, schools, children hospitals, and specialty clinics. They work closely with health care perfecionals such as Pediatric physicians, nurses and the patients family doctor. Nurses are an essential part of hospitals, doctors offices, clinics, and nursing care faculties. They assist doctors when needed, they make sure patients take there medication, and they provide care for those who will be in the hospital for a while. There are several different types of nurses including nurses aid, LPN'S, RN'S, those trained in passing out medication. These nurses must take courses in first aid, medical management, patient care, medical terminology, and physical therapy in order to earn there degree. Nurses who earn more than one degree will have more responsibilities than those who do not. Depending on where a student wants to work once they graduate, they should consider all there options.

I think the job that I chose which is Pediatric Nursing is more important than all the other jobs there are for nurses or doctors. I believe that because my job is all about saving little children life's, helping them become better when there sick, making sure there being born right. Especially since now days there are more woman having children in the world. So many children are being born and it is the Pediatric nurses job to make sure that all of the children that they are working survive. Other doctors, and nurses have important jobs to. They save people and all that to but when it comes to children more people are worried and scared about there young ones. For little children its harder to work with than adults because you can't give them the kind of medicine you do adults. You have to make sure that you give them the right medicine, and all of that, because if you don't there is a good chance that they could die. For adults it easier because they know what kind of medicine that they can and can not have. For the children you making risks on your opinion if this would be the right kind for them. The reason you're there as a children's nurse is because children are not just mini adults: their bodies and minds work in different ways. The onset of symptoms can be sudden and extreme. Because children are still growing, the impact of the illness or injury on their development has to be taken into account. And because they are young, they may be more scared or confused by what is happening to them. That's why they need pediatric nurses who understand their particular needs. Children have parents and brothers and sisters who are all involved in different ways. Children's nurses work closely with patient's families as part of the caring process. One of the most striking features of pediatric nursing is how often you share your nursing skills with others. The child's parents or whoever would normally look after them at home. Your job is to give the child's carers the confidence and ability to carry on with their caring role, knowing when to stand back and when to take over if necessary. It requires a special set of attitudes and open mindless to people's different ways of relating to their children. Pediatric nursing can sometimes involve managing distress. A rich mix of emotions often surrounds child illness such as panic anxiety, anger, powerlessness, and guilt. You'll play a key part in helping families come through their crisis. Pediatric nursing can be the most dangerous thing in operations. For an example more children these days are born with some kind of a problem. For an example Asama, or born mentally, or any other different kinds of problems. The Pediatric nurses try to prevent things like that from happening at birth. While the mother still has the child in her the nurse can give her anything that is subscribed to try and help the baby with out hurting it. They often work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatricians and other health care providers. Studies show the first three years of a child's life is the most important developmental years because the brain is forming. Pediatric nurses play an important role in helping maintain children's health and educating there parents during the crucial developmental time.

Pediatric nurses provide preventative and acute care in all settings to children and adolescents. Pediatric Nurse Practitioners PNP's perform physical exams, diagnose illness and injury, and provide education and support to patients' families. They often work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Picu with pediatricians and other health care providers. Pediatric nurses and nurse practitioners are compassionate professionals who dedicate their careers to the health of the next generation. The reason you're there as a children's nurse is because children are not just mini adults: their bodies and minds work in different ways. The onset of symptoms can be sudden and extreme. Because children are still growing, the impact of the illness or injury on their development has to be taken into account. It requires a special set of attitudes and open mindedness to people's different ways of relating to their children. Basically what all of that is about, is what I would be doing if I became a Pediatric nurse. The reason why I would like to be a Pediatric nurse is like it says above its because I would be helping children, and saving there life's.  I would also be helping the family's because they would be worried about there  child, and I could take that stress off of them. I could do that because I would know what I was doing, and they would fill better that there child would be fine. All of my life I have enjoyed helping people so with me becoming a Pediatric nurse it would make my dreams come true, because I could keep helping people.

Some important quotes about Pediatric Nursing are “ Nursing is an art: and if it is to be made an art, it requires an exclusive devotion as hard a preparation, as any painter's or sculptor's work; for what is the having to do with dead canvas or dead marble, compared with having to do with the living body, the temple of God's spirit? It is one of the Fine Arts.” I chose that quote because just by reading that you can understand that being a nurse is hard work, and by having the job there are going to be hard times. In the quote that I chose, “there is a part in it that people are curious about,” like what does “Nursing is an art” mean? To me it means that nursing is very important to many people. For an example artists all over the world are important to people because there paintings mean something to them, like they are known, and very popular. Well its like the same for Pediatric Nursing because people all over look up to them. As art travels all over the world so does Pediatric nurses.

Another quote that I really like is, “ The trained nurse has become one of the great blessing of humanity, taking a place beside the physician and the priest.” This quote I by far love the most. Like back then when you were in school have you ever had a teacher that just wrote down a quote on the board? and said “write down your thoughts about this quote.” Well when I think about it, I have many things that come to mind about this quote. I think the number one thing that first pops up into my mind is that I agree with this quote. Like being a nurse is a blessing, because your saving life's all over the world. Also by being a Priest its also a blessing because your kinda working with god, like you have people coming to you to be blessed, and to help them. Being a nurse is like being a Priest to, because its the same thing you have people looking up to you, to help save there life, or a loved one. Some professional pediatric nurses have quoted “ We often think of nursing as giving meds on time, checking an X- ray to see if the doctor needs to be called, or taking an admission at 2:00 a.m. With a smile on our faces. Too often, we forget all the other things that make our job what it truly is, caring and having a desire to make a difference.” “As more and more people, families of hospice patients and hospice volunteers are exposed to this new model of how to approach end of life care, we are taking what was essentially a hidden scene, death, an unknown and making it a reality. We are showing people that there are meaningful ways to cope with this very difficult situation.” The quotes that I listed above I choses them because these words were spoken out of professional mouths. They quoted the most important things there are to need to know about Pediatric nursing, and mostly from there experience.
