Myself in the future:

When I think about it to myself its a little bit hard to imagine myself in the future, because you never know how things are going to turn out for you in the future. So far this is how I see myself in the future. I see myself graduating high school, going to college at the University of New Mexico studying Medical in Pediatric Nursing. I plan on staying there long enough until I get my Bachelors Degree. After I graduate college I would plan on moving back to Colorado to be with my boyfriend Miguel, and applying for a job at the hospital, possibly at the St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction Colorado. They have a lot of mothers giving birth all the time there.I can see myself getting a nice house somewhere around my work (so that if there were an emergency I could get there faster) and possibly getting married, and having children. Right now there are many important things to me in my life right now. The number one is graduating school, and going to college and get the information and everything else that I need to know about Pediatric Nursing. The second is my boyfriend because I have been together with him for a long time, and I basically just see myself having a family of my own with him, and having the best job in the world. I just hope thing's turn out the way I planned them because today in this economy it's hard to where you want to get in life if you don't stay on top of what you want. That's the only thing I could ask for in life. Basically living the life that other people have.

Pediatric Nurses VS. Other Nurses

I think the job that I chose which is Pediatric Nursing is more important than all the other jobs there are for nurses or doctors. I think that because my job is all about saving little children life's, helping them become better when there sick, making sure there being born right. Especially since now days there are more woman having children in the world. So many children are being born and it is the Pediatric nurses job to make sure that all of the children that they are working survive. Other doctors, and nurses have important jobs to. They save people and all that to but when it comes to children more people are worried and scared about there young ones. For little children its harder to work with than adults because you can't give them the kind of medicine you do adults. You have to make sure that you give them the right medicine, and all of that, because if you don't there is a good chance that they could die. For adults it easier because they know what kind of medicine that can and can not have. For the children you making risks on your opinion if this would be the right kind for them. The reason you're there as a children nurse is because children are not just mini adults: their bodies and minds work in different ways. The onset of symptoms can be sudden and extreme. Because children are still growing, the impact of the illness or injury on their development has to be taken into account. And because they are young, they may be more scared or confused by what is happening to them. That's why they need pediatric nurses who understand their particular needs. Children have parents and brothers and sisters who are all involved in different ways. Children nurses work closely with patient's families as part of the caring process. One of the most striking features of pediatric nursing is how often you share your nursing skills with others. The child's parents or whoever would normally look after them at home. Your job is to give the child's carers the confidence and ability to carry on with their caring role, knowing when to stand back and when to take-over i necessary. It requires a special set of attitudes and open mindedness to people's different ways of relating to their children.
Pediatric nursing can sometimes involve managing distress. A rich mix of emotions often surrounds child illness such as panic anxiety, anger, powerlessness, and guilt. You'll play a key part in helping families come through their crisis. Pediatric nursing can be the most dangerous thing in operations. For an example more children these days are born with some kind of a problem. For an example Asama, or born mentally, or any other different kinds of problems. The Pediatric nurses try to prevent things like that from happening at birth. While the mother still has the child in her the nurse can give her anything that is subscribed to try and help the baby with out hurting it. Pediatric Nurses provide preventive and acute care to all children and adolescents. Pediatric nurse Practitioners perform physical exams, diagnose illness, and injury, and provide education and support to patients families. They often work in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit with Pediatricians and other health care providers. Studies show the first three years of a child's life is the most important developmental years because the brain is forming. Pediatric nurses play an important role in helping maintain children health and educating there parents during the crucial developmental time.

Criticism and Response
A pediatric nurse practitioner is a registered nurse and nurse practitioner with advanced training in pediatrics and can provide nursing care to infants, children and adolescents. The pediatric nurses perform physical exams, diagnose injuries and many common illnesses and have the training to provide the treatment procedures, therapies and medication necessary for the child. They order specific lab tests and diagnostic testing, such as x-rays, blood tests and laboratory tests when needed. Trained to give immunizations, they also manage their patient's problems, such as juvenile diabetes and other conditions.
They provide education, support and health care counseling to the families of their patients and answer any questions or address any concerns the family has regarding the child. Pediatric nurse practitioners get great satisfaction knowing that they make a difference, by identifying and caring for their patient problems, giving them counseling and information to the family or patient. This helps the patient and family deal with often, very stressful and difficult situations. They use data received from diagnostic tests, clinical exams, verbal communication, medical records and other sources to make decisions that are evidence based and meet their patients care requirements. In the future can you imagine how many people there are going to be? I mean right now in our world we already have many people. My guess is that when it is at least 2012 this world is going to have so many hospitals and clinics. This year right now we have a bunch of pregnant teen moms, and pregnant woman. Many children are being born into the world and here pretty soon were going to have more and more each year. For an example the Saint Merry's hospital in Grand Junction is getting bigger. There are so many people going to that hospital that there adding on to it to make it bigger. The point that I'm trying to make is that Pediatric Nurses will be even more popular in the future. Especially with all these people moving to different states to be able to find jobs, and moving with all there family's. In the near future I predict that the pediatric nursing will have better electronics, medicine, and better things that people need that we didn't have back then.

Autobiography:

To start off my name is Heather Hamlin, and I’m a senior at Yampah Mountain High School in Glen Wood Springs Colorado. I live with my mom in Silt Colorado and plan on moving soon. I chose to go to Yampah because I heard from my friends that this was a really great school, and an easy way to catch up on credits. When I first came here I didn’t have any credits, mostly because I lived with my dad “Ray Hamlin” in Grand Junction Colorado and at that time I went to Grand Junction High School and I basically skipped my freshman, and sophomore year because I really just wasn’t into going, and I couldn’t focus. Since I wasn’t doing well down there I decided to move with my mom and go to school here. I was pretty surprised when I came here at Yampah because I could focus and actually do my work, also I came here my Junior year and I caught up that fast on my credits and I get to graduate this year 2011. After I graduate school, I plan on going to college at the University of New Mexico to study medical in Pediatric Nursing. When and if I get into that school I plan on staying there long enough to get my Bachelors Degree. I plan on studying Pediatric Nursing because ever since I was a little girl it has always been my dream, and because I love children and I’m a caring person and I like to help people.

The way that I see life today is half cruel, and the other half good. The reason why I see life cruel today is because there have been so many people diagnosed with a disease, or some kind of a sickness, and if they have no health care no one will do anything about it, or get them help. It makes me angry about that because my mom is one of those people who don’t have health care and they won’t help. I think one good reason why Obama was elected, as president is to try and make it to where everybody gets health care. I see life today half good because the war in Iraq has ended, and many things are changing around the world. It makes me happy, sad, and mad about life because there are so many different things today in the world to have many different feelings about. I have a lot of friends mostly because I’m nice with everyone, and because I’m not the type of person to judge. My school days go by fast because I’m always so busy with my school work that I don’t have time to pay attention to the time. I keep my self pretty busy because I want to graduate. I have a wonderful and amazing boyfriend named “Miguel”. Our Anniversary is September 18th. We have been together for two year. We do everything together mostly because we are so much in love, for me when I first met him “It was love at first sight.” I believe that our relationship will last for a real long time, and I hope it does because I love to spend every moment, and minute right by his side, and I look forward to spending the rest of my life with him.

I think my future is going to be like I’m going to college, and I’ll stay there for about three years which is long enough to get my Bachelors Degree at the University of New Mexico. After I graduate College I see my self getting married to the love of my life Miguel living in Puebla, Mexico, or here in Colorado. After a year of being married if we are ready we will decide to have children. The most we would want would be three, because it’s the perfect number. Even after I marry, and have children I will still purse my career as a Pediatric Nurse. My boyfriend is Mexican, and he has a lot of family that lives almost everywhere. I’m currently living with him now, and after I finish school we plan in getting our own apartment. His family is very caring and nice. We have both met each others families and our family approves of us being together. Wherever we lived it wouldn’t matter because whichever hospital that was close by I would be working there.

Basically I see my life out of my own eyes planned perfect. Even though life’s not every time perfect I believe that mine can be pretty close to perfect. If my life in the future turned out the way I have it planned it would be the only thing in life that I could ask for. You know sometimes many people go to college and think that everything is going to go right for them, but for the truth be told that’s not true. I have met somebody that when to college and after she graduated she didn’t even get the job that she wanted. She ended up working at a convenient store. My conclusion is that if something like that was to happen to me I would be hurt, but then again it wouldn’t matter because I would have a wonderful family waiting for me at home.
